Virgin in 'our' World

In life, it takes a lot of discipline, boldness and self-confidence to live right.

People do certain things they do EITHER because they want to flow with the trend and feel ‘among’ OR they want to please someone or a group of persons.

It is difficult to stay a virgin in this present World because most frown at it, yes they do! And even go as far as make mockery of any lady that has the boldness to declare her virginity and in most cases, the lady is sarcastically insulted. But what you don’t know is deep inside them, they wish they were like you. They castigate you just for the purpose of making you believe less in yourself and make you be like them, sleeping around. Some will even go as far as giving you reasons why it is good to break one’s virginity early in life but be sure that those reasons, whether physical, emotional or medical are all lies. That is a topic for another day, anyway.

This attitude has caused many young people to feel small of themselves and would not even admit their virginity status if asked to, in the public. There is that fear that their friends might think them old-fashioned. And no one wants to be perceived as old-fashioned – INFERIORITY COMPLEX at work.

But I’m telling you now, nothing in life is old-fashioned until you agree so. The level of confidence with which you represent something is what makes it attractive, fashionable and acceptable. That is why we have fashion, for instance, rotate in a circle. At one point, the fashion we regard as old school becomes new school and the ‘new school’ goes out of fashion and then after a time, it comes back in vogue, and back and forth in that regard.

As a young person, if you carry yourself with the right amount of confidence about your virginity, it will amaze you at how many people that would want to copy you and be like you.

The fact that people react negatively when they find out you are a virgin shouldn’t be an excuse for one to join the bandwagon. The key is knowing who you are and what you want and wanting what is good for you. Once you have all these three in the palm of your mind, you are as good as living that fulfilling life. By the way, who says being a virgin is no longer the right thing?

Staying celibate is and has always been the best option. Apart from saving you from premature heartbreaks every now and again, it affords you the opportunity to focus on yourself and work towards becoming something great until you’re ready for marriage.

A word for the ladies:

A man may fall in love with you because of the sex you give him but it will fizzle out in no time. What makes a man fall in love and PERMANENTLY remain in love is your hard work and character.
